Eldoret City Marathon set for 6 June

Mandagor

The third edition of the Eldoret City Marathon will now take place on June 6. This comes in the wake of the recent lifting on the suspension of sports by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Labor Day.

The announcement was made in Eldoret on Thursday 6 May 2021 by Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandagor.

Mandagor said, "“We are delighted that the President allowed the resumption of sports. We shall host the Eldoret City Maraton on June 6 under strict Covid-19 protocols."

Valary Aiyabei won the women's race in 2019 in a time of 2 hours 27 minutes and 17 seconds while Mathew Kisorio won the men's race in 2:12:38.
