Chebet, Jebitok reach Commonwealth women's 1500m final
Chebet was also third in heat two in a time of 4:16.11 as she finished third behind Uganda’s Winnie Nanyondo from Uganda and Englishwoman Katie Snowden in 4:16.04 and 4:16.09 respectively.
Winny Chebet and Edinah Jebitok reached the women’s 1500m final at the Commonwealth Games on Friday 5 August 2022.
Jebitok timed 4 minutes 13.84 seconds in a heat won by England’s Ciara Mageean in 4:13.52.
Chebet was also third in heat two in a time of 4:16.11 as she finished third behind Uganda’s Winnie Nanyondo from Uganda and Englishwoman Katie Snowden in 4:16.04 and 4:16.09 respectively.
Meanwhile, the men’s 4 x 400m relay team comprised of William Rayan, Wiseman Were, William Mbevi and Boniface Mweresa reached the final after winning their heat in a time of 3 minutes 06.76 seconds.
