Champions Shimba hills on course to title defense

Defending netball champions Shimba Hills from Coast region continued their superiority in the sport thrashing Furaha of Eastern Province 85-1 in day two of the Kenya Secondary School Sports association KSSSA at the Mangu school.

This was the second big victory for the champions who on day one humbled Nduluku from Metropolitan 71-11 on Monday.

Team captain Quinter Awino praised her teammates for their effort saying the ladies are determined to go all the way and defend their title on come Saturday.

“We came with one intention of defending the title we won last year in Eldoret. The ladies are ready from the two matches we have played. I believe we can go all the way and retain the national title.” Said the confident Awino.

The other match of the day saw Tetu overcome Nduluku 44-23 in. Shimba Hills are scheduled to play Tetu this afternoon.
