Cereals win to extend lead in handball league

The Kenya national handball league continued on Saturday at the Nyayo stadium court with five matches being played with  Cereals being the biggest winners of the day after they collected their 4th win of the season to take a commanding lead at the summit of the table standings.

 With their 38-24 win over TUK, Cereals moved to 8 points after 4 matches, two points ahead of second placed Ulinzi who have also recorded a 100 percent record so far. Having played three matches, Ulinzi are on six points. On Saturday, Ulinzi defeated Ulinzi Youth 39-22 to pile pressure on leaders Cereals.

Cerry Otieno was the star player for Cereals on Saturday, scoring 8 goals with Peter Omondi managing 7.Derrick Kadenge was however the highest scorer on the day with 10 goals for the losers TUK.

In other matches also played at the Nyayo court on Saturday, Mount Kenya University (MKU) were 45-31 winners over JKUAT while KU defeated Aquinas 38-14.
