Shujaa 7's co – captains Vincent Onyala and Tony Omondi were missing as coach Kevin Wambua named his squad that will represent the country in the opening two legs of HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series that is scheduled to take place in Dubai and Cape Town.
In his 13-man squad, Wambua named eight new players that will be making their debut in the HSBC sevens tournament. They include Samuel Asati (KCB), Chrisant Ojwang (Nakuru), Festus Shiasi (KCB), Brian Mutua (Kabras Sugar), William Mwanji (Kabras Sugar), Nygel Amaitsa (Strathmore Leos), Brian Ondego (Zetech Oaks) and Patrick Odongo (Daystar Falcons).

The Dubai 7s will take place from November 30th to December 1st ,while the Cape Town 7s is scheduled for 7th - 8th December, 2024, at the DHL Stadium.
In the Dubai 7s, Kenya have been placed in Pool A alongside France, South Africa and Australia.
