Butali Warriors stay top with double Park win

National men hockey league defending Champions Butali Warriors extended their leadership at the top of the league table with a double win over the weekend collecting six points on travel in their matches at the City Park.

The Champions beat Parkroad 3-0 on Saturday with goals by Brian Musasia  (13”),Maxwell Fuchaka  (35”) and Seth Oburu  (61”) .On Sunday the champions went on a rampage winning with a 6-1 margin against Western Jaguars.

On labor Day Nairobi Simba eased past Nakuru with a 4-1 win Courtesy of goals by Allan Iningu, Inderjit Matharu (10”), Wilson Otieno ( 25”) and Shabaz Shah (67”). Nakuru’s sole goal was scored by Dolcan Mugaisi in the 44th minute.

In women action, Vikings’ Laurine Muturi scored late in the match to deny Strathmore maximum points as both teams played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
