General Service Unit , Kenya Pipeline and Bungoma were the biggest winners as the Kenya Volleyball Federation League entered the third leg in Eldoret o Friday.
General Service Unit –GSU-on Friday picked three wins from three matches during the third leg of the Kenya Volleyball Federation League action at the Eldoret Polytechnique grounds.
The red berets humbled league returnees Bungoma County in straight sets of 25-13,25-20,25-20 in their opening match. They would then return with another 3-0 (25-18, 2517,25-19) triumph over AP before concluding their day with 3-0 (25-8,30-28,25-15) win over Western Prisons.
Women league defending champions Kenya Pipeline also picked double wins on the outing with straight set wins over DCI 3-1( 25-18,25-14,22-25,25-8) and Kahawa Garisson 3-0 (25-12,25-3,25-14).
Coming to the third leg at the summit of the table standings, KCB found themselves on the receiving end as they suffered in the hands of returness Bungoma County who had an exciting day at the court with two wins on the day.
Having defeated Kericho County 3-0(25-9, 25-11,25-9) earlier, Bungoma beat KCB 3-1 (25-23,17-25, 25-19,25-16) in one of the exciting actions of the day.
Former women league champions Kenya Prisons left it late to hand KCB their second defeat of the day in a five sets thriller 3-2 (28-26, 19-25,16-25,25-8 and 15-11) .
