Elsewhere, Al Azizia turned out victorious against National Super League outfit Luanda Villa at Kinoru Stadium.
Aziza who had former Ulinzi Stars forward Stephen Ocholla at the touchline secured the win from the post-match penalties after coming from behind to hold Villa to a 1-1 draw inside regular time.
Villa had taken the lead through Timothy Ndayala but Aziza levelled matters courtesy of Rama Said.
Aziza won the shootout 4-3 sending the Super League debutants out of the tournament.
In other matches, Mombasa Stars won 5-0 against Eldoro SC while Talanta FC clinched a 3-1 victory via a penalty shoot-out after being held to a 0-0 draw by Marafiki FC in regular time.
