Catherine Khaemba made it eight goals in eight matches as Bungoma Queens defeated Mombasa Olympic 3 – 1 to move top of the Kenyan Women Premier League on Saturday at the Bungoma National Polytechnic.
Bungoma's victory came courtesy of goals from Khaemba, Bracksides Itambo, Elizabeth Mukoa. The win moves them to top of the table for the first time this season, pending other matches.
In Nakuru, newly promoted Trinity Queens had an afternoon not to remember at they lost 3 – 1 to on form Zetech Sparks. Sparks secured the win with goals from Monalizer Anyango,Faith Muli and Violet Akinyi, while Mercy Wafula netted the consolation goal for the hosts.
