Bungoma farmers to take on Bay Club in Hockey Sunday

Bungoma farmers to take on Bay Club in Hockey Sunday

In the women's Premier League, holders Strathmore University Scorpions will be looking to pile more miseries on Kenyatta University Titans and extend stay at the top.

Kenya Hockey Union men's Premier League champions Butali Warriors have a tricky fixture this weekend as the holders are lined up to play Western Jaguars at the Eregi Teachers Training College grounds on Saturday.

Jaguars have proved a hard nut to crack when playing in front of their fans and will hope, to extend their impressive home form when they host the champions.

Butali head to Kakamega while enjoying a unbeaten start of life into the season as the Zack Aura coached side is yet to taste defeat in the three matches played.

The sugarmen who sit at the summit with seven points have played three matches, winning two, and sharing spoils once.

Last season, Jaguars held Butali to a 1-1draw at the same venue before fighting tooth and nail to secure a 2-2 draw in the return leg played at City Park.

Jaguars, who finished third last season are ranked second from bottom although the Michael Malungu coached side is yet to play a game this season.

Sikh Union might find themselves perched at the top if they manage to ease past Greensharks when the two lock horns at City Park Stadium.

The 2012 league champions prayers will only come to pass if they beat Greensharks and hope that Jaguars will humble Butali.

Sikh are placed second with six points while Greensharks are at the rock bottom of the log without a point having played three matches.

In the women's Premier League, holders Strathmore University Scorpions will be looking to pile more miseries on Kenyatta University Titans and extend stay at the top.

Scorpions sit at the top with eight points and will hope to capitalize on Titan's poor form and consolidate their stay at the top.

Titans who returned to the top league before the season kicked off are yet to secure a win in three occasions they have taken to the pitch.

Record champions Blazers will be looking to register the second win of the season when they play DFG Wolverines at City Park as well.
