Neiva will be supported by former international Zedekiah "Zico" Otieno and Michael Nam as assistant coaches.

Kenyan Premier League record champions Gor Mahia have appointed Brazilian Leonardo Martins Neiva as their new head coach. The 46-year-old takes over from Irishman Johnathan McKinstry, who departed to become the head coach of the Gambia national team.

Neiva will be supported by former international Zedekiah "Zico" Otieno and Michael Nam as assistant coaches. His coaching experience includes stints with Ugandan side Vipers, Yanga of Tanzania, Al-Merreikh of Sudan, and the Saint Kitts and Nevis national team.

Additionally during his tenure with Saint Kitts and Nevis, Neiva led the team to first place in Group F during the first round of Concacaf qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, surpassing Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, and Guyana.

Leo Neiva's immediate task will be to lead Gor Mahia in their pursuit of regional supremacy, beginning with the CECAFA Kagame Cup championships, where they are set to represent Kenya.
