Malkia Strikers are expected to jet out of the country on Thursday 6th July for Morocco where they will hold a 20-day camp before embarking on their FIVB Challenger Cup and Africa Nations Championship in France and Cameroon respectively.

Ahead of their trip, the team has received a massive boost to their preparations as betting firm Mozzart Bet has renewed their partnership with the team for Ksh. 15 Million for an extended two seasons.

Malkia Strikers are set to take part in the FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup scheduled for 27th to 30th July in France and the CAVB Africa Nations Cup from 6 to 18 August 2023 in Cameroon.

The two competitions will earn the national team points towards qualification for next year's Paris Olympics as the top ranked team in Africa will get to represent the continent at the Summer Games.

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Kenya Volleyball Federation for organizing this event and giving us the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to supporting Malkia Strikers.

We firmly believe in the power of sports to unite, inspire, and empower individuals, and our partnership with Malkia Strikers exemplifies this belief," Saša Kreneta, Mozzart Bet's Country Manager said.

Meanwhile, coach Paul Bitok maintains that the commitment goes a long way in helping the team to compete at the highest level.

"Our team is on a mission to qualify for next year's Olympic Games in Paris and we are grateful to Mozzart Bet for walking this journey with us.

Last year the company came through for us as we left the country for Brazil for our preparations to the World Championship at a time when the government was undergoing a transition period.

The company also sponsored a training camp in Belgrade, Serbia where we played several friendly matches before leaving for the Netherlands for the World Championships, finishing 19th," assistant coach Bitok offered.

The team is scheduled to leave the country  for a 20-day training camp in Morocco to prepare for the two competitions.
