The Kenya Table Tennis Association set to hold their last team selection for All Africa Games at Kenyatta University
Four slots are up for grabs today as Kenya Table Tennis Association hold their last team selection for All Africa Games at Kenyatta University's Nyayo Two Common Hall.
The two men and an equal number of women will be selected from among 32 players (16 male and 16 female) who qualified from across the eight regions last weekend. The All Africa Games will be held in Rabat, Morocco between August 23 and September 3.
The two women who will be selected will join Pamela Wekesa and Zaki Mughal. Wekesa and Mughal secured their places in Team Kenya by being the top players in the national junior trials that were held last week.
By virtue of being part of the Olympic Solidarity Program secured by the National Olympic Committee of Kenya and KTTA, Brian Mutua was handed a wild card to the Rabat team. He is expected to leave Nairobi for the International Table Tennis Federation Training Center in Denmark soon.
