AFC Management in support of Juma bench

AFC Management in support of Juma bench

The club remains committed to achieving its goals and aspirations, and we trust that the technical bench is well-equipped to guide us toward victory.

The AFC Leopards National Executive Committee has jumped to the defence of coach Tom Juma in the wake of the club’s poor start in the current Football Kenya Federation Premier League season.

Leopards fans have been demanding for the firing of Juma after watching the club fail to grab a win or even score a goal in the three league matches played thus far.

Leopards started the season with a barren draw against FC Talanta before losing 1-0 to KCB in the next duel. The team played Muhoroni Youth to a barren draw in round three.

It is the series of unwanted results that have been irking the Ingwe faithfuls who want Juma to either resign or face the axe.

However, the former Kenyan international can afford a sigh of relief after his bosses defended him in a statement issued on Wednesday.

"The management of the club is pleased to announce its unwavering confidence in the leadership of the technical bench, headed by Tom Juma.

The club remains committed to achieving its goals and aspirations, and we trust that the technical bench is well-equipped to guide us toward victory.

We anticipate excellent results in the matches to come,” read part of the press released.

In a bid to quell the dissenting voices at the den, the management asked the fans to back the team going forward.

Your unwavering support is the driving force behind our success, and together, we can achieve greatness and make this season one to remember," added the statement.

Leopards turned to the services of Juma after parting ways with Belgian tactician Patrick Aussems who left the club in July following the expiry of his contract.

Juma has been part of the Leopards technical bench for the last five years. He was part of the squad that last won the league title with the club in 1998.
