Kipyegon has ascended to legendary status, becoming a double world champion, world record holder, and now a historic triple Olympic 1500m champion

She has truly become a global sensation, magnetic and adored wherever she goes. Kenya’s 1500m Olympic champion, Faith Kipyegon, is one of the most beloved athletes in the Olympic Village, drawing admiration and passion from everyone around her.

After clinching her 1500m Gold in France, Kipyegon was greeted by a throng of fans as she stepped out of the stadium, all eager for selfies and autographs. With her signature smile and a graceful wave, she acknowledged the crowd, who swarmed her, eager to share a moment with one of the greatest middle-distance runners of our time.

Kipyegon has ascended to legendary status, becoming a double world champion, world record holder, and now a historic triple Olympic 1500m champion—an achievement unmatched by any woman in history. At the Paris Olympics, she also secured a silver medal in the 5000m, a race fraught with drama when her silver was briefly withdrawn following a disqualification for allegedly obstructing Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay. Fortunately, the silver was later reinstated.

In a video that surfaced online, Kipyegon is seen graciously accepting congratulations from fans and fellow athletes alike. A Kenyan journalist, also a close friend of Kipyegon, can be heard asking if she needed help making her way through the crowd.

"Nikutoe?" the voice inquired from behind, to which she responded with a touch of humor, "Itabidi sasa nifanyeje na wamekuwa wengi," acknowledging the overwhelming number of fans. The video ends abruptly, likely to give her some respite from the adoring crowd, all of whom were lining up for a moment with the queen of middle-distance running.
