18-year old Ex-Aspire academy stars Hisham Abdallah Said has signed a two-year contract with top Hungarian side Újpest FC. Újpest is one of the most successful Clubs in Hungary having won 20 league titles and 8 Cup titles.

According to the Club’s official website ujpestfc.hu, Abdallah will first join the reserve team before growing ranks to the senior team. Abdallah who was born and raised in Mombasa joined Aspire Academy at the age of 15 where he was among the lucky few who were chosen to go to the Aspire academy in Qatar.

“I think Aspire is one of the best equipped in the world but I definitely wanted to play football in Europe. I'm very happy to get this opportunity at Újpest. I would like to thank my family for their support in making my dreams true to sign a professional contract with a major club,” says the player who looks up to Brazilian and Real Madrid midfielder Kaka.

Hisham will join the team’s winter training in preparation for the league. He says he wants to work hard and join the senior team.

"Of course, my goal is to work hard and then move on to the first team, but I still have to do a lot.” He says.

The young midfielder has also said that he would want to be a regular in Kenya’s national team, Harambee Stars. In 2010, he was called up to the national Under 17 team for the CECAFA Youth Cup in Kigali, but could not honor the call up due to injury.

"I've been invited to the junior national team, but I could not go because of injury. I hope that in the future there will be the opportunity to represent my country on the field. Kenyan football is not as well known, but I think it continues to strengthen and grow. I would like to represent my country more,” adds the midfielder.
