The Chief of Defence Forces handball Bora Cup tournament entered its second day at the Kabete Barracks on Wednesday despite heavy rains that made playing conditions a daunting task.
In Wednesday’s matches Moi Air Base led by team Captain Ahmed Mohammed managed to hold off Kenya Navy 20-17 in a tightly contested match in the preliminary matches of Pool A with Mohammed scoring 3 goals for the team while Nyaga Obedi had 6 goals. Rapahel Wambua gave Kenya Navy 7 goals while Maxwel Wanjala followed with 5 goals.
In other pool A matches Armored were held off 12-15 by Engineers and lost again to eventual pool leaders MAB (Moi Air Base) 19-23. In the ladies matches Langata Barracks based 4th Brigade lost narrowly to Kahawa Barracks 7-8 while Kahawa lost Artillery the match ending 14-6.
The tournament moves to the Nyayo Handball Court on Thursday to its final day which is Friday.
