Africa’s football legend Rodger Mila was in the country on Monday as one of the guests at this year’s Copa coca cola championships at the City stadium in Nairobi.
The surprise visit by the Continents historic star was moral boosting to the aspiring youngsters who look up to playing in international leagues in the future,
Talking through his translator to the boys, Milla advised them to remain focused in their vision and urged them to observe discipline. He also thanked Coca cola for their efforts to develop youth soccer.Milla was quick to note and mention his satisfaction at the high level of great talent portrayed during the day’s matches.
He was particularly impressed by the young Nairobi team player Harry Mwendwa whom he thought would hit realms of professionalism with the level of his talent.

Rodger Milla now 58 will be remembered as one of the oldest players (38) to feature and score four goals in a world cup tournament and for his jig saw dances after scoring stunned the world.
One of his memorable goals in the 1990 world cup was his goal against the flamboyant Colombian goalkeeper Rene Higuita whom Rodger dispossessed the ball and scored to lead his country Cameroon  into the quarter finals with a clear 2-0 win..

In today’s Copa coca cola matches ,Harry Mwendwa’s Nairobi registered a clear willingness to retain the trophy when they mercilessly massacred Eastern province 7-1    while Western province hard a difficult time overcoming the tactical Coast. Western however won the match 2-1.
