Zico excited with fighting spirit against Tusker

Sony Sugar coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno was left excited after his team defeated Tusker FC 1-0 to advance to the quarter finals of the Gotv Shield cup on Saturday.

Samuel Onyango won the day for Sony with the all important lone goal10 minutes to the end, a goal that bundled the Kenya champions out of the cup competition.

“My players played well without paying attention to their opponents’ titles. Tusker is big team in Kenyan soccer and I appreciate that my players believed in themselves.”Said the tactician.

The coach now says after a poor start, Sony Sugar has found their good bearing and are moving in the right direction, “Over the few weeks we have been playing well. In the league, we played Gor Mahia and Ulinzi Stars and the results were not disappointing. We are moving to the right direction.” he said.

“I want my players to concentrate on both the cup and the league as we aim for a decent finish.” he concluded.
