Stage set for Domestic Cup quarters

After the weekend knockout matches, the stage is now set for a potentially bruising quarter finals of the GOTV Shield quarter finals as Kenya’s second most important domestic competition heads for the homestretch.

Eight teams are already through to this stage. Last season’s runners up Gor Mahia will be the prominent absentees having been bundled out much earlier by the less fancied GFC 105 from Eldoret in the previous stage.

Holders AFC Leopards will be facing a fierce fight from a dangerous Tusker whom they face in the quarter finals. The brewers have been impressive on all fronts and after winning the Top Eight title- their first Silverware this term- they will be keen to add others. This will most likely be the biggest game at the last eight.

On the other hand Admiration Police will tackle 2010 winners Sofapaka as Agro Chemical face the test of West Sugar .Second tier side Rangers confronts Bandari.

Winners will claim the trophy and Sh.2 million, runners up Sh. 750,000 while third and fourth place finishers contend with Sh. 250,000 each. The quarter will take place onSeptember 27-28
