Robert Matano showing dissapointment

Tusker FC Coach Robert Matano was left a furious man after his team lost 1-0 to his former employers Sofapaka and failed to advance to the Finals of the FKF Cup. Matano had hoped to book a berth in the finals and win his second silverware of the season but that was never to be.

The Coach was angered by his players whom he accused of taking the game so casually and hence the loss to the 2010 Champions.

“We performed very poorly and of course I am not happy with how we played. The players took the game so easily and they were not serious with it. You can never play like that and expect to win. I am completely not satisfied with our approach of the game today,” Matano told Michezoafrika.com after the match.

The coach now says that he is set to bring in some new faces into the team in a bid to bolster it for the defense of their domestic title next season as well as good performance in the CAF Champions League.

“We have to bring in fresh and quality players to boost the team because next season we want to defend our title as well as progress further than the first stage in the champions’ league. I cannot say how many players I will bring or offload but I have to bring in fresh blood,” Matano adds.
