Ingwe quintet doubtful for GoTV Cup clash

AFC Leopards technical bench is sweating over the fitness of five key players ahead of Saturday second round Gotv Shield Cup clash against veterans side Wazee Wa Kazi.

The two sides were drawn against each other and they lock horns on Saturday afternoon in a 4pm kick off at the Nairobi City stadium with winners earning passage to the next rounds.

However Leopards assistant coach Nicholas Muyoti has revealed that he could miss up to five key players for the assignment.

Veteran midfielder Charles Okwemba, goalkeeper Barnabas Tiema and  centre back Jackson Saleh are all in doubt with a bout of malaria  while utility defender  Jonas ‘Paco’ Nahimana is in a race against time to shrug off a knock.

Former Mathare United skipper Martin Musalia is also in doubt with a knee injury.

Wazee Wa Kazi coached by Peter Lichungu hit International FC 3-1 to earn a berth to face Ingwe in the second round.
