After their 2-1 loss to AFC leopards over the weekend, Muhoroni Youth will be readying themselves for a new challenge as they take on Gor Mahia in an FKF Cup Quarter Final match at the City Stadium on Saturday.

Muhoroni Coach Alfred Imonje has said fireworks should be expected in the match noting that they are taking the tournament with utmost seriousness.

“That will be a cracker. I have a very good team and I am taking the FKF Cup very important. We will go there to give Gor Mahia a fight and I am sure we will have a good result at the end of the day. We have a busy and tight schedule in the next three weeks because we play Tusker in the league after Gor Mahia. However, I want to cross the bridge that is ahead of me first and that is advance to the FKF Cup Semi finals,” Imonje told

Looking back at the Leopards loss, Imonje is happy with his team though they failed to earn at least a point.

“In the first half we were a little bit shaky and we conceded easy goals. In the second half, we came up really well and we displayed very good football. We have set very high standards for ourselves and I am more than confident next season we will still be in the Premier league.” He confidently says.

Muhoroni Youth are 13th on the log with 26 points, five clear of the cut zone.
