Kenya beat Uganda by 19 runs to lift the Africa T-20 Cricket title in the final match at the Lugogo cricket oval in Kampala on Friday.Both countries will now represent Africa at the Pepsi ICC World T-20 Championships global qualifiers in Dubai later this year.

Opener Obanda hit 64 runs off 47 balls, before he was caught by Roger Mukasa off a Deus Muhumuza delivery with Collins Obuya adding 40 runs as Kenya set Uganda 156 runs to chase.

It was a false start for Uganda as opener Roger Mukasa(10) and Arthur Kyobe (05) were off early and though Lawrence Ssematimba (20) and Deus Muhumuza (22) tried to stabilise the score, the middle order collapsed through , with non-making double digits as Kenyan James Ngoche (3 for 18) attacked.

With Lucan Oluoch (2/25), Hiren Varaiya (2/26) and Collins Obuya (2/19) increasing the attack, the tail enders Jonathan Ssebanja (11), Henry Ssenyondo (15) and Brian Masaba (15*) tried to lift Uganda from 83 for 7 wickets but could only end at 137 runs all out.

Botswana beat Nigeria by 53 runs to make sure that they do not finish bottom of the five team table.
