Coast Super Kings through to Samsung Cup final

Coast Super Kings sailed to the  finals of the 2012 Samsung cup after  winning their match against Mount Kenya Chargers  by 8 wickets with 9.4 overs to spare at the Nairobi Simba club on Sunday.

The match was graced by Sports commissioner Gordon Oluoch.

Super Kings won the toss and elected to field first. Mount Kenya Chargers bowlers were all out for  126 runs in 23.3 overs.

Mount Kenya Charger's  Prashanth  Srinivas managed 55(6*4) runs in 45 balls while teammate Ramesh Bora scored 14 (3*4).

The best bowlers for Super Kings were Mani 4/19 overs and Quintas 3/19 in 5 0vers.

Chasing 126 in 25 overs, the Super Kings hit the target in only 15.2 overs with eight wickets to spare.

Anand Ranganatha scored 49(6*4, 2*6) in 29 balls while Arun Balaraman managed 45 runs (6*4, 2*6) in 24 balls before the fall of wicket.

Lockesh 1/18 in 3 overs  and Prashanth Srivinas 1/37 in 5 0vers were the best bowlers for Mount Kenya Chargers.

Coast Kings  will now meet Masai Mara Tuskers in the finals to be played on 7th July 2012 at the Simba Union club.
