Southgate to Confirm Squad on Wednesday

Gareth Southgate, The England National Team Coach seems to have made up his mind on the players he will be boarding the plane with to the World Cup in Russia.

With exactly 30 days to the tournament, the football world is salivating at the prospects of the tourney. We have seen a few countries, for instance, the five-time champions, Brazil, who have already named their squads. Others who have named their 23-man squads are Croatia and Nigeria.

On Tuesday, Matt Hughes, had an update in The Times, insinuating that Gareth Southgate had already named 19 men out of the 23 in his England squad.

He wrote, “The England manager will confirm his final 23-man squad tomorrow, plus a handful on standby, after making final checks on certain players’ fitness.”
