Luis Enrique, New Spain Coach

Spain national team have appointed Luis Enrique as the new coach on a two-year deal to replace the interim coach Fernando Hierro.

This follows the stepping down of Hierro after a disappointing round of 16 world cup exit to Russia according to the Spanish Football Federation(SFF)

Luis Enrique's first assignment will be against the Three Lions in September. The former Barcelona manager has signed a two contract that will see him take charge of his country after Spain sacked Julen Lopetegui just two days before their first game at the World Cup in Russia against Portugal. Hierro, who is the director of football had been named as his replacement in an interim capacity.
