Floyd Mayweather beats Pacquiao with Unanimous decision

America’s Floyd Mayweather remains undefeated after winning the much hyped welterweight world championship title on Sunday against Manny Pacquiao from Philippines at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas - USA.

Mayweather who played a tactical fight was declared champion by a unanimous decision making this his 48th career win without a loss.

Speaking after the win Mayweather lauded the technical approach by his opponent whom he termed as a strong competitor with a good fighting spirit.

“He is a good fighter. Now I see why he is one of the guys at the pinnacle of boxing. I watched him closely and studied him before I approached.” He said.

Pacquiao on the other blamed him for dodging and moving around  in the ring, “He (Mayweather) did nothing, he was always moving on the outside and moving around making it hard to throw punches. I thought I won the fight.”

The judges’ scores were 118-110, 116-112, 116-112.
