The 2014 edition of the Zuku Universities basketball league (ZUBL) is expected to kick off on the weekend of 20th September at the USIU Complex in Nairobi. This year’s Zuku sponsored tournament is expected to be bigger and better with thirteen more teams joining to compete for the coveted title in one of the biggest Universities basketball tournament in East Africa.

Zuku is one of East Africa’s fastest growing company offering high quality, fast internet and Digital Television services across the region with a well balanced mix of content that will entertain, educate and keep the entire family up-to-date with what's happening locally and in the world. This also includes, BAQE which is East Africa’s premier basketball TV Magazine Show, setting the pace dedicated towards Kenya athletics and Scrum Down a dedicated rugby show.

Through the Zuku satellite and fiber broadband services, the university league tournament sponsors have curved a niche as a one stop shop for fast, reliable and unlimited internet, high quality TV and Internet telephone connections in the region.

The Zuku internet offering is now the most popular choice for home and business users who can now access Zuku high internet speeds both at home and/or in the office thereby reaping maximum returns for their Zuku subscription.

The Zuku digital TV also provides high quality premium TV content at a fraction of the cost charged by other competitors in the market.

Currently, Zuku Fiber is available in majority of Nairobi estates with plans for expansion to other regions in top gear.

Zuku has continued to enhance their presence in the Kenyan sports market by sponsoring the Zuku Universities Basketball League (ZUBL) as well as Kenya Volleyball and Kenya Rugby Union where they are also the broadcast Rights holders and partners.

The ZUBL is the first ever universities basketball event to be hosted in the whole of the East African region with last year’s edition having been won by United States International University (USIU ) Flames and University of Nairobi men.
