Kenya falls narrowly to Angola in Maputo

Kenya On Monday lost her third match at the ongoing Afro Basketball competition in Maputo narrowly falling to Angola 39-45 (09-09, 08-07, 13-17, 09-12) in a closely contested match.

Kenya had a good edge in the first half but a series of lost free throws and avoidable turnovers    cost them the match especially in the final two quarters.

Rose Ouma was Kenya’s high scorer with 11 points, Hilda Indasi with 08 points and Angela Okoth with 07 same as Silalei Shani.

Mpaka Clarise with 14 points and Mauricio Nacissela with 13 points led Angola’s attack.

Kenya had lost the first two matches to Cameroun and Nigeria respectively and will now hope to pick wins in the last two matches against Cape Verde and Mali.
