USIU vs Eagle Wings in a past match

USIU Flames are hot on the heels of Eagle Wings the 2012 KBF Premier League Champions in the ladies category as the league intensifies. Eagle Wings who currently lead the table standings have 11 points a point more than USIU who finished runners up last season. Eagle Wings has played 6 matches losing only once to Strathmore University while USIU has won all its 5 matches to sit comfortably in second place.

Mombasa based Kenya Ports Authority, Co-op Bank, Storms and Safe Spaces follow in the table standing respectively. All the four teams have 10 points and what separates them are the number of matches each have played. KPA has won all its five matches with their latest wins being the 83-12 thrashing of Mennonites on Sunday  while the previous day they had an easy ride seeing off league newcomers KCA 84-19.

Co-op Bank and Storms have played 6 matches both losing 2 matches. The two teams met last Saturday and Co-op was victorious after getting a 48-35 win over Storms. Safe Spaces have played the highest number of matches in the league so far, having played 8 matches of which they have won only two matches. Their last match saw them get embarrassed by USIU after a 106-45 mauling by the students on Sunday at the Nyayo gymnasium.

The second half of the table sees Strathmore University at seventh place with 9 points after 3 wins and the same number of losses. KCA University follow with 8 points after registering one win out of the seven the matches they have played. Their win came courtesy Mennonites who have lost all their seven matches. Mennonites follow KCA with 7 points having lost all their matches.

KU Oryx, NYTA Shimba Hills and Western Delight are the last three teams in the standings. KU has 6 points followed by Shimba who have 5 points. Kakamega based Western Delight is the bottom placed team with 3 points after 2 matches having played the least number of matches in the league.
