Hearts Of Ruiru Sports Centre Profile

H.O.R S.C was founded by Mary Mbaka in 2012.It started as a small soccer team of under 13 years boys and has since grown to where it is right now. Hearts of Ruiru is situated at the heart of Ruiru prisons.The players in the Centre are drawn from the Ruiru prison camp and  its environs.

The under 13 team which is the most vibrant of all participates in the FKF under 13 league while the under 17 is registered in the Ruiru sub-county league.

When we started our main purpose was to use soccer to teach young boys about Christ and Christian living so as to deter them from going to prison. Moving forward we want to bring up a generation of professional players who know Christ and that will make all the difference. We want to make Christ known through professional play.

Hearts of Ruiru has grown to become the envy of Kiambu County and we give God all the glory. Our volunteer coaches work tirelessly dedicating their time and resources to ensure that our players get the right and the best training. Mentors from across the country are usually invited to share and encourage our players as we focus on the whole life of our players.

Hearts of Ruiru has got no sponsors and entirely depends on the parents of its players to run the program. We have been praying for partnerships and we look forward to having partnerships in the future in order for us to fulfill the goals of
