The competition will be played on a round robin format in the pool stages ahead of the quarterfinal stages.
The women’s team includes Veronica Adhiambo, Naomi Too, Brackcides Agala and Gaudencia Makokha while the men’s team is comprised of Nicholas Lagat, Donald Mchete, Ibrahim Odour and James Mwaniki.
The two sides find themselves in Pool A alongside hosts Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Belgium and Italy.
Kenya Prisons are Kenya’s most successful club in the event, having finished second overall in the 2011 event in Cairo, falling to a 3-0 loss to record champions Al Ahly who also defeated them by the same scoreline in the 2013 third place playoff in Tripoli.
Volleyball action heads to Nandi County this weekend when the Nandi County Government Cup takes place at the Kapsabet Showground between 26th and 28th November 2021.
Despite the defeat, Kenya will join Cameroon as Africa's representatives at the FIVB 2022 World Championships in Poland and Netherlands.
