The Kenya U-17 football women national team is expected to depart Nairobi on Wednesday for Nigeria ahead of the world cup qualifier return match scheduled for the weekend of 3rd February. The Kenyan side lost to Nigeria 2-0 during the 1st leg played in Nairobi a week ago.

In preparation for return match, the Kenyan team has been in rigorous training in Matuu but recently shifted camp to Nairobi for the final lap of preparation before departing on Wednesday.
The team that is coached by Fred Serenge played against the Mathare youth sports Association (MYSA) in a friendly match at the City Stadium winning 2-1.

“We have strengthened our team and the players’ confidence has gone up by a good percentage. They are well prepared both technically, tactically and mentally ready for the challenge.
