Tunisia U-20 team lands ready for World Cup search

The Tunisian U-20 soccer team has landed in Nairobi. The team will play against their Kenyan counterparts this weekend at the Nyayo national stadium on Saturday 31st March in the second last stage of the U-20 FIFA women’s world Cup qualifier.

The Tunisia team comprising of 18 players and 8 officials landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Shortly after 4:00PM and their Head coach Mohammed Ali has promised that his team is more than ready to book an early ticket to the next round with a win over Kenya.

Ali while speaking at the airport immediately after touchdown said “This is our first time in Kenya but we are looking forward to a great match. We are here of one mission, to win the match and move to the next round.” He said.

At the airport to receive the team were FKF officials led by National Executive Members Hussein Terry and Angeline Mwikali.

Mwikali appealed to Kenyan soccer lovers to turn up in large numbers on Saturday to show their love for the Kenyan girls who have proved to the world that they are in for the world Cup slot just like any other Africa top shots.

“This is a rare chance for our Kenyan girls and we call on all Kenyans and those who love soccer to ensure we turn up in large numbers to support the team to the next round. The fans work magic to the morale of the girls and we hope this time we will see big numbers at Nyayo.”She said.
