Kenya U-17 Womens' soccer team fall to Nigeria Flamingoes

The national Under-17 women’s soccer team lost the return leg match 3-0 to hosts Nigeria to wind up their African qualifier for the FIFA U-17 female World Cup on a 5-0 aggregate loss.

The Kenyan ladies put up a spirited fight in a match they needed to win by a clear 3-0 to end the first half 0-0 despite the dominance by the hosts at the MKO Abiola stadium.

Biahwotessy Kesiena put Nigeria in the lead ten minutes after the interval. Adeboyejo Oluwatosin  addded the second in the 73rd minute. A third late goal by Ayinde Ibrahim capped a brilliant outing for the Flamingoes who are now through to the next round of the qualifiers.

The Kenyan side lost to Nigeria 2-0 during the 1st leg played in Nairobi a week ago .

The U-17 world Cup will be held in Uzbehkistan later this year.
