Kenya starlets soar past Botswana, set date with South Africa

Harambee Starlets cruised to round two of the 2016 Olympic race qualifiers after they edged out Botswana 1-0 at the Machakos County Stadium to go through on away goal rule having lost 2-1 in the first leg match staged at the Lobaste Complex, Botswana two weeks ago.

Harambee Starlets needed a last minute goal to overcome the resistant Botswana who defended in numbers and used time wasting tactics to defend their first leg win.

With chance after chance thwarted by the visitors defence, Dorcas Shikobe proved the heroine of the day after her power packed shot tore through the Botswana defence to give Kenya a crucial goal that left the packed  crowd at the stadium erupting in joy.
