The Kenyan girls braved the extreme low temperatures in Blida to cruise past Seychelles with a comfortable 3-0 win of (25-15, 25-21, 25-23).

Hosts Algeria had earlier in the day (Thursday) beaten former champions Egypt 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-17, 25-20) in a tense North African duel.
