Kenya to play Seychelles in Olympic qualifier

The Kenya Volleyball team is set to kick off their Olympics qualification campaign this evening on Thursday 2nd February 2012 in Blida Algeria. Kenya will open her matches against Seychelles in a tournament that will be played in a round robin format.Kenya's match will be played at 5:00PM after a North African duel of Egypt and Algeria.

Only four teams have confirmed participation in the qualification: These are African champions Kenya, former champions Egypt, hosts Algeria and Seychelles.
 
The drawing of lots was held on Wednesday evening and was attended by CAVB Vice President Idriss Dokony (Chad), CAVB Technical Director Howyda Mondy (Egypt), Referee delegate Abdelmajid Djerad (Tunisia), VIS Hichem Sayed (Egypt), VIS and medical delegate Mamadou Ndoye (Senegal).
