Updated on 20/02/12  |    By CONSOLATA MAKOKHA

Co-operative Bank Volleyball team is looking to bounce back to the league with big things. The team that finished second runners’ up in the 2007 and 2008 Men’s National League will be seeking to restock the league this season( 2012) after failing to secure a spot in the league in the 2011 season.

Worth noting is that the team has since 2005 triumphed in the annual Inter Banks’  Championships only for 2010 when they were second to Equity Bank.

In 2009, the team finished second to Kenya Prisons in the East and Central Africa Club Championships in Moshi, Tanzania after a sweltering fixture in the finals.During the same year 2010, they also settled for a not impressive position seven (7) in the league standings..

In January 2012, the team started training and thereafter reconstitutes a lineup that will then prepare for the league that will kick off in the weekend of 2nd – 4th March in Kericho.

The final team that will represent the bank in the league will be named on Monday.

Meanwhile the team officials are:
 Juma Walukhu- Head Coach
Peter Kariuki- Ass. Coach
Paul Ngugi- Team Manager
