2012 KVF League to kick off in Kericho

Updated on 22/02/12  |    By CONSOLATA MAKOKHA

The national Volleyball league will carry on, on the 2nd March 2012 at the Kericho Teachers Training College in Kericho after a three (3) months’ recess. His will be followed by Mutai Enterprises Tournament on the same venue on the 3rd and 4th of March.

Seeking to start the league with the intent of conquering all the other teams in the league will be last year’s champions The General Service Unit (GSU) - men and Kenya Pipeline Corporation (KPC) - women.

The paramilitary men will open their title defense against Finlays and Forest Rangers, whereas the women African championships runners up Kenya Pipeline  will start their campaign against Nairobi Water and Ulinzi in their 1st Leg fixtures.

GSU’s second fixture of the day will be a tough one as last season both teams deservedly booked slots in the play- offs, though the hard fighting Forest Rangers settled for the fourth position.

Pipeline seems to be having undemanding fixtures, Nairobi Water and Ulinzi are equally talented and up to the task chasing after the cap.
