World’s Greatest 7’s Player Welcomes Kenya To Las Vegas

After a much improved showing in Wellington Sevens over the weekend, Kenya Sevens national team has received a favorable mention from the world’s greatest Sevens player Waisale Serevi who is also Las Vegas Sevens ambassador.

Serevi, a former Fiji team captain, in a video posted by the tournament organizers praises the sevens version of the game terming it as “fast, exciting, hard hitting and players are extremely fit.”

He goes ahead to single out players to watch out for in the tournament starting with compatriot Emosi Vucago and Samoan duo of Uale Mai and Mikaele Pesaminu. The other players he mentioned are Kayange brothers, Collins and Humphrey, from Kenya and New Zealand’s Tomasi Cama and Lote Raikabula.

He urged fans to come out in numbers to support their teams. “Our island teams need much support from you and of course our Kenyan brothers,” he said.

Waisale Serevi is widely regarded as king of Sevens having played in More than 1310 points in over a decade of the game. He briefly coached Fiji. He is now based in the US.
