Pending Kenya Cup fixtures set for Good Friday

Updated on 15/02/12  |    By DENNIS MACHIO

All the Kenya Cup/ESS rugby matches that had been slated for 26th of November 2011, have now been rescheduled and will be played on Good Friday, 6th April 2012. This is according to an official statement from the Kenya Rugby Union Secretariat.

The matches never took off after a number of clubs protested against the Union’s running of the league and had threatened to pull out of the Kenya Cup to form their own parallel league. Nondies, Impala, Nakuru and USIU RFC were among the clubs leading the revolt of at least eight clubs.

However, the disagreement was amicably resolved and the clubs accepted to continue taking part in the Kenya Cup league that has proved extra competitive this season.

The rescheduled matches include:

Kenya Cup
Quins vs. Kisumu
KCB  vs Machine
Impala vs. Homeboyz
Nakuru vs. Nondies

ESS
Quins II vs. Western Bulls
KCB II vs. Machine II
Impala II vs. Homeboyz II
Nakuru II vs. Nondies II
