Youthful national women volleyball team centre player Edith Mukuvilani Wisa has her eyes on earning an Olympic ticket for Kenya during the world Olympic qualifiers that start in Puerto Rico on Friday evening.

This will be Wisa’s fourth major assignment for Kenya and she looks forward to earn her 15th cap for the nation when Kenya takes on Colombia on Friday evening in San Juan.She has previously played for Kenya during the 2015 World grand Prix and the All Africa Games.

“It is always an honour to get a chance to play for the nation and given chance, I will do my best on the court.” She said.

“As a team we carry a lot of expectations and we are all determined to give our all. More importantly , I take each opportunity as a learning curve especially when playing alongside senior experienced players who are always eager to encourage and hold my hand at all times.” She added.

Kenya plays Colombia in the first match of the World Olympic qualifiers in San Juan Puerto Rico on Friday evening. The winner of this tournament that features four teams (Kenya, Colombia, Algeria and hosts Puerto Rico) will earn the remaining slot to the Olympic games.
