Uganda crush Rising Starlets in U20 World Cup qualifier

The visitors were dominant and ruthlessly efficient against the hosts, their first half goals coming from Juliet Nalukenge’’s opening brace, Margaret Kunihira, Fauzia Najjemba, Shamira Naluguya and Sumaiya Komuntale who game them the comfortable lead.

Leading 6-0 at the interval, Uganda crushed Kenya 7-2 in the first leg of their FIFA 2022 Women’s U20 World Cup qualifier at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday 25 September 2021.

The visitors were dominant and ruthlessly efficient against the hosts, their first half goals coming from Juliet Nalukenge’’s opening brace, Margaret Kunihira, Fauzia Najjemba, Shamira Naluguya and Sumaiya Komuntale who game them the comfortable lead.

Komuntale struck after the break to see Uganda lead 7-0 before Charles Okere’s charges responded with goals from Shalyene Opisa who also grabbed a brace.

Kenya must win the return fixture in Kampala on October 8 by a six goal margin to advance to the next round of qualifying.
