Uganda Cranes pick crucial away win in Lome

Uganda Cranes on Thursday posted a historic win away from home after defeating Togo 0-1 in  their first leg of the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifier staged at the Kegue Stadium in Lome.

The lone goal of the match was scored as a result of a free kick delivered by Farouk Miya just five minutes before the break.

This was Uganda's first ever victory over Togo in all competitions and  a boost to the side going into the second leg in the coming week  in Kampala.
