Tunisia 2017: Kenyan club through to semis before playing quarters
Kenyan clubs Kenya Pipeline and Kenya Prisons will meet in the quarter finals of the 2017 Africa women club championships in Monastir Tunisia with a guarantee of representation in the semi finals.
This comes as Kenya Prison and Pipeline both won their final group matches on Tuesday with Prison bagging a 3-0 (25-15,25-7,25-9) win over University of Zimbabwe. Prison finished second of Pool B while Pipeline were 3-0 (25-15, 25-7, 25-14) winners over Bafia of Cameroon to finish top of Pool C.
Kenya is seeking to reclaim the Africa gong that is currently held by Al Ahly of Egypt, winners of the last two editions and also the record tile holders with eight titles.
Kenya last won the crown in 2013 when five times champions Kenya Prisons won it with Kenya Pipeline yet to lay a hand on the title for more than one and a quarter decades.
