SLOVENIA 2017: Kenya girls eye redemption as they face Turkey

The Kenya Junior women volleyball team will on Tuesday afternoon face Turkey in their third match at the ongoing World U-23 Championships in Slovenia.
The junior Malkia Strikers , coached by former international Catherine Mabwi will need to lift their performance having lost their opening two matches with similar 4-0 margins against defending champions Brazil on Sunday and Bulgaria on Monday .
With 35 points , the East European side Bulgaria humbled Kenya 4-0 (15-1, 15-5, 15-6, 15-11) to boost their chances of second round in Pool B. The match was played at the Sportna Dvorana Tivoli Hall on Monday afternoon.
All matches in Ljubljana are played under a new scoring system currently being tested: a best-of-seven, 15-point set format.
After Turkey , Kenya will next face Cuba on Thursday and Japan on Friday to conclude their pool B matches.
