Kenya exited the Women’s U20 World Cup qualifiers 10-3 on aggregate after losing the return match 3-1 to hosts Uganda at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kampala on Friday 8 October 2021.

Needing to win this clash by six clear goals after the 7-2 drubbing in Nairobi on 25 September, the Rising Starlets fell behind to a Margaret Kunihira goal after fourteen minutes of play.

Skipper Peris Oside drew the Rising Starlets level with a penalty five minutes later before Hadijah Nandago’s thirty ninth minute goal gave the Ugandans the lead heading into the interval.

Juliet Nalukegnge’s scored from a well taken free kick in second half stoppage time to seal the deal for the hosts who will play against South Africa after the South African’s emerged 4-3 aggregate winners over Mozambique.
