Poor start for Kenya at the Dubai Sevens

Kenya started their Sevens World Series campaign on a losing note, going down 12-14 to Australia in a Dubai Sevens Pool D encounter in Dubai on Friday 4 December 2015.

It was Kenya who had the better of the exchanges as the game kicked off, Augustine Lugonzo eventually going over the chalk with Biko Adema converting for a 7-0 lead that they took into the break.

The Aussies would be reduced to six men when Henry Speight was sin binned for a professional foul before Frank Wanyama, on as a second half substitute,would land his maiden try on his debut and Kenya's second of the day, Adema missing the conversion with the scores
at 12-0.

James Stannard would convert Tom Cusack and Pama Fou's tries as Aussies ran out with the result.

Meanwhile, the Kenya Lionesses are through to the final of the bowl competition at the Dubai Sevens International Invitational Women's Category after beating TUKS Ladies 19-12. The side had earlier lost their match day one encounters in Pool C, losing 7-31 to Great Britain Select, 5-15 to Colombia and 24-29 to the Tokyo Phoenix.

Playing with only 8 players, Kenya's Watembezi Potbellies fell out of the vets tournament, after giving away two walkovers in between crashing to a 0-67 loss at the hands of the Bali Dragons.
